Curriculum

Literacy and Numeracy are a daily focus of every grade.

The literacy program is a 2 hour daily session dedicated to reading, writing, speaking and listening. It incorporates the THRASS spelling program. Oral language is the foundation for student learning. It is essential in developing good readers and writers.

The numeracy program is a 2 hour daily session dedicated to developing mathematical concepts through the manipulation of concrete materials and being involved in a variety of hands on learning experiences. Our daily Numeracy sessions cover the domains of Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability.

There is also a whole school focus on environmental sustainability and science is taught at each year level by the classroom teacher.

ICT is interwoven throughout activities across the curriculum each day. We are fortunate to have a range of tools at our disposal, including a recording studio, robotics in each area of the school, laptops, iPads, interactive whiteboards, flip cameras and much more.

Subjects taught by specialist teachers include PE, Music and French.
